My Bio:

I am based in South Devon and use photography, poetry and dye painting to create images. My approach to my work is experimental, drawing inspiration from many different sources, and is guided by New Materialisms theories, because I realise that my relationship to all that is around me, be it material or digital, has to change.

2022: November - Winter Exhibition: My work is included in the Artisan Gallery, Torquay:

2022:24th June – 7th August: My work is exhibited at the Artisan Collective, Torquay.

2022: June: I am invited to present my degree project “One Year” to the international conference on Carceral Geography on 14th / 15th December in Melbourne, Australia.

 

2022: 13th May: My cyanotypes are exhibited at The Cove conservation project exhibition at Lupton House, Torbay.

 

2022: 2nd – end April: Prison Residency: looking at Victorian women’s prisons with the focus on HM Prison Shepton Mallet.

recording is pages being turned.  This is 

because there are no records of any creativity

by women prisoners in the prison.

2022: 5th March – 10th April: My seaweed cyanotypes, 2 on paper and 1 on silk, are exhibited at the Artisan Gallery, Fleet Street, Torquay, UK.

2022:15th February: My seaweed on silk project is shortlisted for the Princess Theatre Art Commission.

 

2022: 7th February: My poem One Year – 2016 is accepted for publication in the online zine of Haus A Rest, an art zine for artists, writers and curators.

 

2021: 30th July – 31st August: This Volatile State: My microscope lens image  Acorn Embryo is exhibited physically and online, curated by ‘The House of Smalls’ @thehouseofsmalls

 

2021: 2nd July to 1st August: ‘Littoral Zones – the Frontiers Between’, a collaborative project which I undertook with artists Heidi Bergstrom and Ann Rapstoff, is shown at the Madrid Lacuna Festival.  See the video here: https://youtu.be/GBrcA7asH6w

 

2021: 1st April: My degree project ‘One Year‘ is featured in Original Magazine

 

2021: March 30th: I was a contributor in the Art.earth.com “High Water” symposium.

 

2021: March 7th: My poem, ‘Spume eddies in a storm’ is published in Dwell Time Press

 

Finalist:

2020: June: Finalist in the Association of Photographers Student Awards for my work One Year

 

2020: Awarded a First Class BA Honours degree in photography from the UCA.

2019: July 20th: Performance of a collaboration with musician Deborah Johnson of my poem ‘One Year’ at the Toynbee Studios in London, UK.

 

2019:July 1st – 12th:  Solo exhibition: Cells, Devonport Guild Hall, Plymouth, UK.
