Anna Goodchild
MA Fine Art

I have run out of space here, please see my MAFA continuation here.

This site records the first six months of my MA FA experiments and research at Plymouth University.

Research Interests

My photography degree project, which I finished in 2019, was all about the rehabilitation practices in UK male prisons.

Since then, I started developing my interest in cyanotypes and, in particular, of seaweeds on the South Devon coast because I realised how little I knew about them.

Attending a residency on women prisoners in the South West of England, rekindled my interest in UK prisons in general and in the creativity of women prisoners in particular because there is so little on the topic.

The focus of my MAFA at the outset is to see if or how these two interests can coalesce.
